Visits Prior to Taking up Residency at Harpwood
We encourage all prospective residents and their relatives/friends to visit Harpwood at anytime and as many times as they feel necessary to view our facilities and talk to our residents and staff before taking up residency. Stay for lunch or spend a day with us and get a feel for the home at no cost. This also gives us an opportunity to know each other and discuss the care needs and likes and dislikes.
Whenever the prospective residents are unable to visit, we can meet them at their home or in the hospital to assess their care needs and to give them reassurance.
Besides understanding the care needs during these visits, we also explain our facilities, care provision, fees and our contractual terms, as well as explaining services included and what extras are charged.
Moving into a care home is an important decision of a resident’s life and therefore we want them to feel confident about us and their decision.
For us, we want to ensure that we can meet the care needs of the resident and that he or she will fit in well with other residents of Harpwood.
